I can't believe another week has almost shot by!
Sure enough it's very busy, but time seems to be flying at the moment.
Four months to Christmas ... yeah, I went there. Know why? Because this year I'm organised. That's right. :)
The hardest thing about Christmas this year will be getting the box of decorations out of the shed.
And that makes me happy. Stress free December makes me very very happy.
So what have I been doing?
Getting the bookshop organised - there's a wee bit involved :). Talking to people about the bookshop. Contacting authors. Receiving stock. (Now that's stupidly exciting.) Connecting with people we'd like to work with in the future regarding (Hey Krauss, pay attention this will interest you!) a festival here and running our own 'cons. Don't go thinking the future is a long way off, because the way things are going at the moment - it's coming around pretty quick.
Oh you know ... sending the kiwi book to press.
'Nothing Happens Here' by DJ Lane will be released in a few days.
She looks a lot like me - just sayin'.
The official launch will be at the shop. That's exciting.
Guinea Pig time.
Better to stuff up on one of us than screw up a new authors first launch. :)
What's really weird is I've got the beginning of the next Veronica Tracey mystery - it came to me last night. So while The Knight was chopping wood I was writing the first scene in my notebook. No clue at this point what will happen but I know how it starts! And it made me laugh, so that's a good sign.
Wish I could remember the titles Admin One came up with. I bet I wrote them down somewhere ... yeah, somewhere.
I know there were 3 titles.
Nothing Happens Here
Nothing ? ?
Nothing ? ?
That didn't really help.
Anyway, I think that's about it. Perhaps. Maybe.
Writer's Plot this weekend. That'll be fun.
TGW is setting the challenge: Fan Fiction.
Already I'm amused.
Take care out there.
