Blood on concrete

This afternoon I cooked up some blood. The recipe is as follows :
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
* 3 or 4 tablespoon corn syrup (glucose syrup - over here)
* 1/2 to 1 teaspoon red food coloring
* 2 drops yellow or green food coloring (optional - I didn't need it)

Mix
the cocoa powder thoroughly into the water before adding the other
ingredients - it may help to use warm water. After adding the rest,
blend the concoction well, and then wait for it to settle a bit.

That was the recipe from Raven's fake blood recipes on the net... I used my super duper blender to mix the blood... did a fantabulous job and there is no separation or skimming required.

It's now stored in a drink bottle and a large syringe in the fridge, been there over night and still works fine.

This was squirted from a large syringe... I wanted to see what it looked like on film.
First attempt at fake blood on concrete - quite successful!
Another attempt.

It's now dried on the path and is looking every bit like a blood stain!!

Pretty groovy huh?

what do you think?

Breezy says it tastes yummy -she looked delightful with it dripping from her mouth and off her chin!!!

I tried it - she's right, it does taste good. :)

Although sucking it from a syringe probably looks a little odd!!!

Huh... Never had cause to make fake blood but will use this recipe to do so if ever needed. Great pics. And I'm sure drinking it from the syringe is no more odd than having it dripping from your childs mouth and chin. LOL.

I have a plan... :)

If I can pull it off, you'll be the first to know! :)

How easily did it wash off? Did it stain the concrete at all?

Hi Clarissa,
Doesn't stain concrete at all. Washes off easily.
Will stain clothing though. Also stains skin but washes off - no worse than food coloring.
Tastes great as well!

I see you...
